Working in Hollywood, California as a makeup artist for the last 25 years has been a dream come true and allows me to express my creative touch, but my work also affords me the ability to make personal choices on what makeup I use on celebrities, television hosts, and journalists.
It may surprise you that many of the popular makeup brands test on animals for research purposes. As an animal lover, I have found several companies that are choosing to be cruelty-free and vegan.
In the last couple of years, I have incorporated more of these products into my makeup kit. I love that we have a choice to choose kindness over cruelty. Here are a few of my favorite cosmetic lines and vegan makeup products.

On a budget, check out cruelty-free cosmetics lines at CVS Drug Stores. Milano Cosmetics are my favorite here. I love that the line is cruelty-free and the quality and pigments are great!

I like everything about this cosmetic line. The waterproof concealer is my favorite. The lip pencils are creamy and go on super smoothly. Naked Skin Foundations are lightweight full coverage that really makes you feel that you are not wearing makeup.
