Although I started Fix’n Fidos to raise money for spay and neuter, my goal is to keep animals out of shelters and we are doing that now in a different way.
In March, people started reaching out to FixNFido asking if I could buy them pet food, because they were suddenly and unexpectedly out of work due to stay at home orders and could not afford food for their families, much less their pets. Many said they were going to have to surrender their beloved pets to the shelter because they could not pay for food.
Of course we at FixNFido stepped in to help and have spent close to $30,000 so far helping SoCal pet owners in need. We’ve prevented thousands of pets from going hungry but the need is still there, and it is overwhelming.
In order to keep FixNFido going, we need donations.
Every penny stays in SoCal, and is helping your neighbors, friends, and family members. We are all in this together and we WILL get through this. People are so thankful that we are the ones who didn’t forget their pets.
