Gifts that Give Back this Holiday Season

It’s that time of year where we are looking for thoughtful gifts for our loved ones. A gift that brings a smile to their face and makes them feel loved. We will be looking high, looking low, and scouring the internet for the perfect present. In the spirit of giving, there is nothing I love more than an amazing gift that also gives back– because isn’t that what the holiday season is really about? Here are some of my favorite gifts that are giving back this year!

Cuddle and Kind

cuddleandkind.com

The cutest and cuddliest stuffed critters for all ages. Every beautifully (and they are truly beautiful) handmade, stuffed critter that is purchased helps to feed children. Every cuddle+kind doll sold, gives 10 meals to children in need which is pretty incredible.

Pottery Barn x Trevor Project Pride Collection

potterybarn.com

Bring color and love into your everyday life with this collection. From dinner napkins and mugs, to quilts and candles– there are so many great gifts to check out. The inspirational messages, like “All for One and Love for All”, will surely warm your heart. The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people.  25% of each purchase goes directly to the organization and there is a direct donation page to the Trevor Project on Pottery Barn’s website that shoppers can access.

PHENOMENAL

phenomenalwoman.us

PHENOMENAL Woman is one of my personal favorite go-tos for gifts. Most of their apparel, like Phenomenally Asian, Phenomenal Woman, and Phenomenal Mother, all give back to organizations they align with. PHENOMENAL always has a new and timely campaign to support and lend your voice to. There is literally something for everyone on your list.

ThirdLove

thirdlove.com

Not only can you give the gift of comfort with the softest stretch cami around, but ThirdLove partners with I Support the Girls to donate comfortable bras to women in need. In 2018, ThirdLove donated over 75,000 bras alone. In addition, ThirdLove donates bras and masks to front-line workers at UC San Francisco and Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx.

Bombas Socks

bombas.com

If you haven’t tried Bombas socks yet, you are missing out. These socks are the crème de la crème of socks and they last forever. Perfect for every season! This year when you give the gift of the most comfortable and perfect sock, Bombas donates one pair for every pair purchased to a homeless shelter. Bombas has a mission to help people experiencing homelessness, and to get others involved as well.

Hey Dewy

heydewy.com

With the winter season in full swing, getting your skin moisturized can be quite challenging. I love the Hey Dewy Portable Facial Humidifier to increase the moisture on my skin after I wash my face at night and before lathering on my skincare. Hey Dewy donates a portion of sales to The Water Project, meaning 10 percent of the sales from a purchase of its Portable Facial Humidifier ($40) helps ensure communities across Africa have access to safe water.

The Giving Keys

thegivingkeys.com

Giving Keys was started by Caitlin Crosby. It takes old keys and stamps fun, inspirational words onto them. You can purchase key chains, necklaces, and more. A purchase of a Giving Keys product, like the customizable Classic Key Necklace ($42), not only allows you to pay it forward with a message of encouragement to someone you love, but it also benefits nonprofit organization Chrysalis, which helps people prepare for, find, and keep jobs.

Ban.do

bando.com

This is the perfect necklace to give this holiday season. A purchase of Ban.do’s Kindness Necklace ($38), as well as similar necklaces with words “Confidence” or “Strength,” support Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization that focuses on supporting, mentoring, and guiding girls to succeed in life and in school.

Be Kind & Co.

bekindandco.myshopify.com

Who doesn’t love a cool hoodie with a fantastic message? This plush pullover is perfect for warming up on chilly mornings, running errands, or just kicking around the house. When you purchase the Be A Kind Human hoodie, Be Kind & Co. will donate 10% of the sale to Children Mending Hearts, a non-profit that is dedicated to combating bullying by inspiring empathy in children.
