We love any excuse to be kind, and this week is a perfect moment to practice. As we celebrate World Kindness Day, this is our chance to slow down, focus on building each other up, and keep kind thoughts in our minds.

Check out the selection of books we chose to share with you this week that focus on kindness. From a plant-based cookbook (with recipes that are off-the-charts delicious) to a book about being brave, and even one that helps children realize that kindness is a superpower, the messages are clear. We can create a culture of kindness with simple effort and practice.

Enjoy, and remember World Kindness Day is Wednesday, November 13th!

This One Wild and Precious Life: The Path Back to Connection in a Fractured World by Sarah Wilson

Sarah Wilson is a multi-New York Times bestselling author, social philosopher, and international keynote speaker. She describes her book as a culmination of science, literature, philosophy, the wisdom of world leaders, and her own personal journey. Wilson weaves a one-of-a-kind narrative that lights the way back to the life we love, which includes understanding the power of kindness.

Plant You Cookbook: 140+ Ridiculously Easy, Amazingly Delicious Plant-Based, Oil-Free Recipes by Carleigh Bodrug

Speaking of the ultimate way to be kind to the environment and our bodies, Bodrug offers fun and unique recipes. She had a dream to help people discover the power of adding more plants to their plates. Her millions of followers, including us, love her positive, spunky attitude and the way she presents her recipes.

Go Be Brave: 24 3/4 Adventures for a Fearless, Wiser & Truly Magnificent Life by Leon Logothetis

This is a “simple journal that will strengthen your being-human muscle.” What we enjoy about this book is that every time we pick it up, we find something new that speaks to us. Leon is known as The Kindness Guy, and he shares that being kind is the bravest and most important act each and every one of us can make. You won’t be disappointed by this book.

My Superpower Values by Alicia Ortego

Alicia Ortego has created eight books that focus on topics like Kindness, Patience, Confidence, and Honesty. The books were developed to teach children about emotions and values, making them perfect for ages 3-8. Each book is also sold separately and available in Spanish.
